The perfect combination of fun and education

We can’t think of anything better than educating the world, one kiwi at a time. Let us take you on an adventure and teach you about the amazing and unique environment we call home.

Since 2012 thousands of school-aged children have visited Rotorua Canopy Tours as part of school programmes. Why? Because this really is an education outside the classroom with so many ways in which we meet the objectives of a child’s education.

Canopy Tours can take groups of all sizes from 2 – 200. We’re flexible and can adapt our tour times to suit your group. We can focus on specific topics to get your desired outcomes, from sciences to outdoor education.

Discounted rates are available for schools, use the contact form below to get in touch for more info.

Safety rules above all else in our business. We consider ourselves to be leaders in the industry with our systems, culture, attitude and policies to safety. Rotorua Canopy Tours is fully compliant and independently audited under the Adventure Activities Regulations 2011. We are also a Qualmark Endorsed Visitor Activity. We will gladly provide a copy of our Safety Management Plan which should satisfy all RAMs requirements.

There are several factors that affect our natural environment here in New Zealand. We have a large part to play in making sure we don’t loose our natural wonderland and its flora and fauna that has developed like no where else in the world.

Here at Rotorua Canopy Tours we are doing our bit to restore an ancient endemic forest. We want to make sure it is around for years to come and give the breath taking experience of being able to fly through it, over it and walk among its giants!

For educational groups we can adapt to make the perfect outing for your group. So, if you’re looking for an educational experience to fill all your needs and to make sure the big kids (adults) have as much fun as the young ones, get in touch and we can personalise an experience to your needs.

“Canopy tours was the best experience ever! The crew/guides were hilarious and very informative, they made me feel comfortable with heights and always made sure we were safe with the harnesses, helmets, and other gear we received, definitely visiting again!”
